Breast Cosmetic Surgery Procedures

This is one of the most common cosmetic surgical procedures performed. It is safe and does not require a long recuperative phase. The silicone or saline-filled implants may be placed either in front of or behind the chest wall muscles. It is more common to place the implants behind the muscle to reduce the chance of either visible or palpable rippling occurring. The surgery is most commonly performed in an outpatient setting and under general anesthesia. For more information click here.

In cases where the breast has become droopy and the nipples point downward, a breast lift is often necessary. Breast augmentation alone will frequently not work in these situations. Depending on the degree of droopiness, different procedures can be utilized. For more information click here.

There are many physical and psychological reasons to consider breast reduction surgery. The physical reasons include headaches, neck aches and neck pain, shoulder pain, back pain and chest pain. Psychologically, women often feel harassed or taunted, and they constantly have to wear loose-fitting clothing. This procedure is often covered completely by the patient's insurance plan because of the significant physical problems. For more information click here.
